Resource & Learning Center
Lutheran High School strives to meet the individual needs of all students so that they may be empowered for academic success. Through a collaborative partnership between Lutheran High School and Lutheran Association of Special Education (LASE), LHS has two special education programs to accommodate the unique needs of students with diagnosed learning and/or medical disabilities: The Academic Lab Program and The Learning Center.
Our partner:
The Academic Lab Program
The Academic Lab Program is designed to help students complete homework, plan for tests and projects, and to teach students time management, organizational, study and self-advocacy skills. The Academic Lab Program teacher monitors individual plans (504, etc.) and assists students, parents, teachers, administration and outside professionals to facilitate successful completion of high school.
The Learning Center Program
The Learning Center Program is designed for students who need additional supports which may include curriculum modification, smaller group instruction and other accommodations to ensure that students are reaching their full potential. The Learning Center teacher assists students, parents, teachers, administration and outside professionals to facilitate successful completion of high school. Students who need direct instruction in math and/or communication arts have the option to take 1-2 classes in The Learning Center, which provides small group or individualized instruction.
