It’s easy to limit our definition of stewardship to financial gifts. But as we reflect on the LSB hymn “Take My Life and Let it Be,” we’re reminded that stewardship, in truth, encompasses so much more. It’s the consecration of our moments, our days, and our unique talents in service to others.
Vocation: stewardship through service
LHS is far more than our physical spaces. While we take pride in our facilities, our true strength lies in the faithful people who make us who we are. Our educators aren’t just employees; they’re individuals called to a vocation, and we see this in our classrooms and hallways every day. Hands, feet, lips, voices, and intellects given in service to God and our students.
Investing in our greatest asset
Just as we invest in our campus infrastructure, it’s equally important that we invest in the people who fill these spaces with a Christ-centered education. This week, we demonstrate this commitment to our people through a dedicated professional development day. While the students have a break, our team will be hard at work shaping the future of our school. This isn’t just a day of meetings; it is a strategic investment in the “living stones” of our institution.
Our students: the ultimate goal
Why spend this time and energy on professional growth? It’s all for the benefit of our students. By creating clear, practical, and measurable statements of what education looks like at LHS, we ensure that every student is taught by a team that is unified, inspired, and “Empowered by Christ.”
When we invest in the people of LHS, we’re investing in the Christ-centered education our children receive every day. Thank you for supporting our staff as they continue to Grow and Serve in Christ.
