LHS Community,

Over the past year, God has clearly been at work at Lutheran High, and we are grateful for the many ways He has used this community to bring that work to life.

Because of God’s guidance, and the generosity of more than 250 families, the first phase of Empowered by Christ: Enriching Our Future has become a visible, daily blessing for our students.

Classrooms are active and collaborative, science labs are supporting hands-on learning, the Commons is alive with worship and community, and the Cougar Café has become a gathering place where students connect and build relationships. Your support has directly strengthened how our students grow academically, deepen spiritually, and live out their faith together.

Now, we are prayerfully stepping into the next phase of this shared vision: the Multi-Purpose Center.

This phase builds directly on the feedback many of you shared about what’s next for Lutheran High: spaces that increase access, relieve overcrowding, and expand opportunities for students across athletics, activities, robotics, and community use. Our goal is to raise the remaining funds by this summer, begin construction in the early fall, and complete the project in winter 2026/2027, so students can begin using the space next school year.

See this vision through our students

These projects are the result of prayerful planning, community feedback, and a commitment to steward resources in ways that directly benefit student learning, leadership, and belonging. Together, they address real space limitations while opening new opportunities for ministry, programming, and growth at Lutheran High.

Next for LHS

Multi-Purpose Center, Baseball & Softball Field Improvements, and Campus Parking Lot Repaving

  • Dedicated space for athletics, robotics, and student activities
  • Flexible indoor practice and training areas to reduce late-night schedules and space conflicts
  • Permanent build and testing space for robotics and engineering programs
  • Covered areas, restrooms, and storage to better support outdoor events and campus activities
  • Expanded opportunities for community partnerships and rentals

Each of these projects is designed with students at the center…creating space to learn, train, collaborate, and build relationships. They reflect our mission to Grow and Serve in Christ, while living out our core values. Through God’s guidance and the generosity of this community, we are preparing Lutheran High not just for today’s students, but for generations to come.

Scripture reminds us, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace” (1 Peter 4:10). As we boldly move forward, we ask for your prayers—that God would continue to guide our decisions, open the right doors, and bless the work being done for the sake of our students.

Thank you for walking with us in faith as God continues His work at Lutheran High.

Grow & Serve in Christ,

Dr. Doug Kuhlmann
