Empowered by Christ: Beyond Buildings

The Holy Spirit at work in our hallways

LHS community,

Lutheran High has always been about more than academics. It’s about an education rich in relationships — authentic relationships with Jesus and with one another as part of a Christ-centered community. The renovated Commons and Cougar Café are daily reminders that the spaces that bring us together matter.

These spaces, even the most mundane, are the places where the Holy Spirit moves through Lutheran High. We build the spaces, and the Lord fills them with His children and His servants and lets the Holy Spirit get to work.

As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” Acts 8:36

In February, we were blessed to host the baptism of one of our students, Olivia. Our campus provided the physical space, but it’s the authentic relationships nurtured within these walls that truly make our mission possible (after all, we know our Lord can work through water by the side of a road). God be praised for the Christ-centered community He creates in these buildings that has led our students to the waters of baptism!

I have called you by name; you are mine.

Witnessing Olivia’s call to baptism.

The Empowered by Christ campaign intends to create even more spaces where students belong, connect, and Grow and Serve in Christ.
