2023 Varsity Baseball

The baseball coaches at LHS believe it is an honor and a privilege to play and represent LHS. They concentrate on teaching the fundamental knowledge and skills of the game.  At the varsity level they put greater emphasis on winning and hanging banners.  In the past six years, the Cougar baseball team has earned three district titles, one quarterfinal game, and one Final Four appearance in 2015, becoming one of the top Class 3 teams in the state before moving to Class 4 this year.  The baseball program promotes “team first,” as well as a Christian attitude, honoring God in all that they do.  Baseball has earned a winning tradition at LHS, an experience your son will not forget as he learns life skills from the game.

Coach Smith states, “the most rewarding part about coaching is inspiring, motivating, and showing kids their true potential. Our goal is not only to teach the mechanics and philosophies of the game, but to help the players foster a sense of humility and discipline to build character for their respective futures.”
