BOYS SOCCER

Scoring with Skill, Spirit and Faith

The LHS soccer program is more than a team; it’s a family.

As brothers in Christ, the coaching staff emphasizes that soccer is a game to love, but it is not the sole focus every day. Coaches and team members strive for maximum effort, dedication, devotion and glory to God both on and off the field. The team ends each practice and game with a team prayer, keeping Christ at the center of the soccer family and the game they love.

Educational Background:

  • Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA Masters of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology
  • Millikin University Decatur, IL Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor in Health and Wellness Coaching

Professional Experience:
As a player I grew up playing at Missouri Rush Soccer Club. I went to play college at Millikin University where I was the captain for 3 years. I played a summer of Semi-pro before I left to go to Georgia Southern University to get my masters. While I was there I played on their club team. I’ve had the chance to play soccer in Spain, London, and Portugal and get to learn from those styles of play. As a coach, I had my first opportunity during college to coach at Midstate Soccer. I coached there for all four years of college coaching from 3-4 year olds all the way to 8th graders. I had my own 2012s club team that I coached as well. In grad school, I had an assistantship that required me to teach a class for the Physical Activity Lifestyle program. I taught a soccer class for college students for four semesters as well as a HIIT workout class. Through sport psychology, I have been able to work with division 1 athletes, men and women’s varsity soccer teams, and multiple other athletes. Currently I work at Missouri Rush as their mental performance coach.

Free Time:
I enjoy spending my free time being with my family and friends. I still play soccer when I can in adult leagues. I love to watch premier league soccer and attend STL City games. I am recently engaged so I am currently spending my free time wedding planning! If I am lucky, I love to spend time by the beach or the pool.
